Landlord and Tenant always have issues with each other but they can be resolved by understanding the responsibilities of landlord. They are as follows:
1. Always give the right picture of home to the tenant never inform him/her about something which you can’t deliver.
2. Landlord must provide clean and safe unite to tenant when tenant moves in first time.
3. Landlord must maintain the premises including walkways, stairs, hallways, elevators, and lighting in a clean and safe condition.
4. Supply hot and cold water all the time, including electricity. (here supply doesn’t mean free of cost)
5. If landlord wants to inspect the home of tenant, he has to give a notice period (24hrs).
6. Landlord can’t harass the tenant for anything.
These are few landlords’ responsibilities, but it doesn’t mean that tenant is not responsible for anything. Both parties have to understand their responsibilities and follow them properly, and then only they can make good relation.
