Primarily the property i.e. being given on lease by the landlord means a lot to him. The emotions attached with the house the property are a bit strong if the landlord has resided in it for a long period. In such a case it becomes difficult for him to tolerate any kind of misdeed towards their home by any tenant. This may lead to several conflicts and ultimately this has an adverse effect on the relationship of landlord and tenant.
How can this conflict be avoided? The first and foremost thing is to have the agreement in written where every thing must be clearly mentioned. There are some formats of these forms are available in market. They are easy to find and simple to fill. The key for the perfect relationship between the landlord and the tenant is the communication. If both of them are clear what they want there won’t be any conflict.
There are some things that must be done by the landlord and the tenant like a duty. The tenant must keep the property clean and must avoid any kind of misdeed to the property. Common duties of the landlord include proper fixing of mechanical equipment, like air conditions etc.
But if still the relationship doesn’t go smooth, there are a few options. A letter may be sent to the offending party by the suffering party. It should be clearly stated in the letter what is the cause of the complaint and what can be its solution. If the offending party follows the suggestion and cures the cause there isn’t any need of the third party. But if not, third party is required to resolve the conflict.
