As far as the financial transactions are concerned, the landlord has to return back the security deposit along with interest as specified in the rental agreement to the tenant.
At last, in case the home owner wants to make an inspection of the house at any given point of time, he or she should give the occupant adequate notice in advance. The landlord has to make sure that the lock and the keys are in good working condition. All such landlord responsibilities ensure that the resident lives a peaceful life in the house. But, if landlord fails to meet all these responsibilities, a tenant is free to file a case against him or her anytime.
