Landlord and Tenant always have issues with each other but they can be resolved by understanding the responsibilities of landlord. They are as follows:
1. Always give the right picture of home to the tenant never inform him/her about something which you can’t deliver.
2. Landlord must provide clean and safe unite to tenant when tenant moves in first time.
3. Landlord must maintain the premises including walkways, stairs, hallways, elevators, and lighting in a clean and safe condition.
4. Supply hot and cold water all the time, including electricity. (here supply doesn’t mean free of cost)
5. If landlord wants to inspect the home of tenant, he has to give a notice period (24hrs).
6. Landlord can’t harass the tenant for anything.
These are few landlords’ responsibilities, but it doesn’t mean that tenant is not responsible for anything. Both parties have to understand their responsibilities and follow them properly, and then only they can make good relation.
There are so many duties that are needed to be familiar in order to become a good landlord. To become a landlord is of lots of fun that also makes you capable of making tons of money. But, in order to earn money, there are some of the landlords tasks that you need to keep in mind. Such responsibilities are not so tough that you are not able to follow. One of the biggest responsibilities is to make sure that the house meets all of the codes that are needed by the law. The owners can get the fill information about the codes from their local county office.
Secondly, make sure that you collect the payment from the tenants on time. It will help the renter in knowing that the when to give you the rent. The landlord can easily and is free to take any of the action against the tenant if he or she is not paying the rent on time.
